Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective date: February 26, 2026.

This policy governs payments made to SIMPLESTORES PRIVATE LIMITED (“simplestores”, “we”) for our SaaS subscription plans, on-boarding services and any add-on modules purchased through our platform. It is issued in compliance with Rule 5(3)(g) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Reserve Bank of India's Payment Aggregator Guidelines.

1. Free plan

Our Free plan is truly free — there is no payment involved, therefore no refund is applicable. You may stop using the Free plan at any time; your data is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted on request.

2. Paid subscription plans

  • 7-day money-back guarantee. If you cancel within seven (7) calendar days of your FIRST paid billing cycle, we refund the amount paid in full to the original payment method.
  • After day 7 of the first cycle: the subscription is non-refundable for the current billing period. You may cancel to prevent the next renewal.
  • Auto-renewals: paid plans renew automatically. You can cancel from Dashboard → Settings → Subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you keep access until then.
  • Downgrades: credit is prorated toward the next invoice, not refunded to your card.

3. One-time set-up & onboarding services

If you paid for a paid onboarding call or a custom migration project and we haven't yet started the work, we refund 100% within 3 working days. Once work has commenced, refunds are pro-rated against milestones already delivered.

4. Third-party fees

Payment gateway fees (Razorpay, Cashfree etc.), SMS/WhatsApp per-message credits and shipping label fees are pass-through costs to third-party providers. Once consumed they are non-refundable from us — you must raise a claim with the respective provider. Unconsumed credits remain in your wallet and can be applied to future invoices.

5. How to request a refund

  1. Email billing@simplestores.in from the email address registered on your account.
  2. Include your invoice ID, the payment date and the reason for the refund.
  3. We acknowledge within 24 working hours and process eligible refunds within 5–7 working days back to the original payment method.

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before raising a bank chargeback — most disputes are resolved faster over email. Fraudulent chargeback attempts may result in immediate account suspension and legal recovery.

7. Grievance

For unresolved billing complaints, contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@simplestores.in. If a satisfactory response is not received within 30 days you may escalate to the Consumer Grievance Redressal Mechanism under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
