Terms of Service

By creating an account or using simplestores ("the Service") at simplestores.in, you ("the Merchant") agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
simplestores provides software to operate an online store — product catalog, orders, payments, shipping, customer messaging, custom domain. We don't take title to your products or your customers — you sell directly to them.
2. Acceptable use
- You will comply with Indian law and applicable foreign law for your customers.
- You will not sell prohibited items: weapons, drugs, counterfeit, hateful content, scam services.
- You will not use the Service to spam, send unsolicited messages, or violate DPDP / TRAI / DLT regulations.
- You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or rebrand simplestores.
- You will not interfere with the operation of the platform or other merchants' stores.
3. Intellectual property
Your content stays yours. Products, logos, photos, copy, customer lists — all yours. You grant simplestores a limited license to host, transmit, and display your content solely to operate the Service for you.
The platform stays ours. The simplestores name, logo, software, designs, themes, and source code are owned by simplestores. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service. Reverse-engineering, decompilation, cloning the look-and-feel for a competing product, or removing the "Made by simplestores" badge without an approved white-label plan are not permitted.
4. Fees, refunds, taxes
Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as per your plan. You authorize automatic charge to your payment method. Refunds: pro-rata refund within 3 days of first payment if you're unsatisfied — email billing@simplestores.in. GST is added per Indian law.
5. Termination
Either side can terminate any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or remain unpaid > 30 days. On termination, you can export all your data for 30 days; after that we delete it (except records required by law).
6. Liability
Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, simplestores' aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profits damages. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, but target 99.9% uptime.
7. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by Indian law. Courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction. Disputes will first be attempted to be resolved in good-faith mediation.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms; we'll email merchants at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
