Sunrise Institute of Learning is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all students, faculty, staff, and visitors, including persons with disabilities. We strive to conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards to make our website and student portal usable by everyone.
Accessibility Features: Our website implements several accessibility features including keyboard navigation support for users who cannot use a mouse, alternative text descriptions for images and graphics, proper heading structure for screen reader navigation, sufficient color contrast ratios for readability, resizable text that can be enlarged up to 200% without loss of functionality, captions and transcripts for video and audio content where available, and form labels and error messages that are clearly associated with input fields. Our student portal is tested with popular screen readers including JAWS and NVDA.
Alternative Formats: If you require any information from our website or portal in an alternative format (large print, Braille, audio, simplified language), please contact our accessibility coordinator at accessibility@sunriseinstitute.edu.in or call our helpdesk. We will provide the requested format within 5-7 working days at no additional cost.
Ongoing Improvements: We continuously work to improve the accessibility of our digital platforms. Our development team regularly audits the website for compliance, incorporates user feedback from persons with disabilities, provides accessibility training to content creators, and updates our systems to meet evolving standards.
