Our Story

Demo Candle Store began in 2021 when founder Priya discovered that most commercial candles contained paraffin wax and synthetic fragrances that irritated her allergies. Frustrated by the lack of clean, sustainable options, she started experimenting with soy wax in her kitchen.

After months of testing wax blends, wick sizes, and fragrance ratios, Priya hand-poured her first batch of candles for friends and family. The response was overwhelming. People loved the clean burn, long-lasting scents, and minimal soot. What started as a personal project became a small business.

Today, we operate from a cosy studio in HSR Layout, Bangalore, where every candle is still hand-poured in small batches. We source our soy wax from sustainable farms, use cotton wicks, and blend phthalate-free fragrances. Each candle is tested, cured for 48 hours, and quality-checked before it's packed.

We're proud to be a zero-waste studio. Our glass containers are fully recyclable, our packaging uses minimal plastic, and we encourage customers to return empty jars for a discount on their next purchase. Because luxury shouldn't cost the earth.
